In response to Joe M's:Superbowl 2013 Commercials

Do you think that it is worth these companies paying all this money for a commercial during the Superbowl? What is your opinions on this year's Superbowl commercials?

Though companies could be spending much of their money elsewhere, I think that in the competitive market today that many companies deal with, they need to spend all the money to make a commercial that is going to stick in their customers heads and by doing that they need to spend a lot of money. I don't think its fair that the T.V commercial prices are so high, but in a competitive market today, prices on commercials is outrageous. I thought that this years Superbowl commercials were hilarious and memorable. They were commercials that I would remember the companies product and the hilariousness that they put into it.

Flash Mobs


Have you ever been walking around somewhere in public, and all of the sudden people begin to dance? A new form of promotion and advertising that has really taken off recently because it is extremely fun to be a part of are...Flash Mobs! This is when a group of people assemble suddenly in a public place and perform some organized dance to grab peoples attention. These gatherings have been done quite frequently, but recently they are being done to promote businesses. The reason why I believe this idea works is because it grabs the attention of many different people and is not a form of advertising that is seen everyday! Companies that have experimented with this technique are T- Mobile, AT&T, and Budweiser. All these companies have nothing, but wonderful things to say about this technique because it is new and fresh!
